Recorded from the window of my attic flat in walkley bank, sheffield. This is the moment of new year's day 2021. You can hear a small amount of children in the background and one child suddenly shouting "happy new year" and scaring the bejesus out of me at about 3 minutes. I change position at 1 minute 30 (pretty much climbing entirely out of the window) and you get a much more impressive surround sound feel after that. There's also a huge explosion right at the end that is definitely worth waiting for.

Douzens of frogs within a ditch at dusk end of may 2013, giving an evening concert. Recorded in moorende 25 km apart from hamburg. The ditch is a part of the old watering system of the huge apple plantages of the altes land. Recorded with a tascam dr-100 with its implememented stereo cardioids, 44,1 khz, 16 bit stereo. Fortunately and unusually nearly no wind during the recording and only one motorbike passing at the small road beneath - which i was able to cut off unnoticable.

Imagine you just landing on an unfamiliar planet, where the local on the planet is just some unpopulated area with a open wide field or jungle. You don't see any one, or anything, but either dust,trees, grass, or a vacant road. While your wondering through this place you also notice that that nightfall is approaching, and you can see the moon and the starts of this planet. This synth patch is just the sound for that, a drone bass synth patch used to create some imaginary audience feel that would lead you or someone to be driven to madness. This patch was made in massive.

I was looking for the sound of a hot engine clicking and found just one with lots of background noises. So i decided to build it from scratch in bitwig studio and this is it. The sound starts with fast clicking slowing down. It's not perfect, you can still hear it's made from samples. But as the sound is normally used at low volume, i think i can get away with it. This is audio i recorded of my husband using his ten year old decrepit constant positive air pressure sleeping machine. I was trying to convince him that he needed a new one. Friday. Random. Why this madness? answer: i have patched s/h (sample and hold) random to doepfer a-160 clock divider and that affects the a-161. For the sake of it i patched one of the gates to the ladik r-110 rnd t/g (random trigger and gate). Result much more randomness than i can use. I can tell you that there is a lot of blinking diodes :-) sounds from doepfer a-110 and 2hp osc and sampler soundmachines ul1uloop.

A rifle being dropped on the floor 3 times. Very metallic-y sounding drop sound with tons of bass. This one was sort of a happy accident. I was recording some ak foley with an airsoft gun i had when i accidentally dropped it. The sound it made turned out so good that i ended up using it for this. Location: tijuana, mexicotime: december, 2016. Riding a route taxi through the streets of tijuana. It's the evening on a weekday and people are coming off work. An ambulance cruises by. Passengers are silent most of the ride until minute 4:40 when the driver stops on a busy boarding zone. Coins jingle when people pay the driver. The door slides open and you can hear people on the street chatting, while passengers get off and new ones come in.

Needed different sounds of men crying in pain. Didn´t found the right expressions of pain here on freesound. So recorded a set of different noises, grunts and crys. Made some fast mixes - but you can take all the originals and do your own creative combination. But for the stressed and lazy ones - you can use the fast mixes :-) i just cleaned them up. One of a series of heavily processed recordings i made using a hikari monos cv. It's a small, highly tweakable synthesizer that's great for drones, resonant pings, and all manner of dynamic electronic sounds. Using s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin from twisted tools, i focused on generating short, punchy impulses that leaned into the resonant character of the original monos recordings. These sounds might be useful for ui buttons, as well as designing modern-retro sounds for games.

My first little attempt at making some film-like sound effects. Alot of bass in this one, tried to cut it below 30-50hz. I just want to point out to the people having a listen, that the sample that streams on the website has a small static-like noise in it. . The download version will not have this noise, i believe the compression for streaming degraded the sound a bit.

I've used freesound shared sounds for my podcasts since 2020. I needed the sound of a dog wagging its tail on a wooden floor for my latest episode and couldn't find an appropriate one. So i created this sound by talking sweetly to my dog while lying on his side on the floor. The original audio file had more of me talking than my dog wagging his tail. But this is a good summary of what it sounds like when he thumps his tail. And i thought i'd give back to freesound by sharing it. Feel free to use it however you want.

I was just going through my sounds, when i decided "hey. . . I'm gonna release this. " so here you all go! i'm really proud of how this turned out. This, as you can tell, is a deep eerie ambience loop. It can be used for anything you want. I like to leave things up to the imagination of the audience. How it was made:. Software used:-fl studio 20-harmor-harmless-fruity parametric eq 2-valhallaroom. So basically what i did was get a low pitch sawtooth waveform, put it through some effects like harmonization, a low pass filter with high resonance, a phaser, and a load of distortion. The main synth is made with harmor. (yes, this is all one synth. It just has a lot of dynamics. ) i then processed it with some eqing. What made this sound what it is would be the reverb. I put 2 layers of valhallaroom on the synth. One has a very short decay time, and gives it texture. The other gives it the atmosphere. To add some more depth, for the final touch, i layered a sub-bass underneath it. Which is just a low sine-wave with reverb on it, which i used harmless to make. I hope you enjoy this!.

Amateur guitar plucking of a tune of my own making, mainly on one string up and down the fret board. Recorded august or september 1984 when i was 15/16. Cassette is a basf cr2-90 (1 of 3). Recorded on my fidelity hi-fi tower, with microphones jacked in. The extra guitar strums near the end were actually unrelated, a technical glitch made an impression of the previous recording to bleed through. Audio has been uploaded using alesis usb tape deck link to audacity, no editing or noise removal was utilised.

One part of the train will go to rotterdam and the other part will go to gouda.

This is about 2 minutes total. It is of an approaching long freight train passing about 100 yards away in it's entirety. Train was doing around 45 mph. There are no other background sounds, no traffic, no crossing alarms, no street noise, no airplanes, no people, etc. There are three diesel electric locomotives in the front, then about a mile of freight cars, then one diesel electric locomotive "pushing" from the rear (it almost sounds like a jet engine!). Recorded alongside the tracks in open west texas desert! recorded using a panasonic dvx200 with a rode shotgun mic & deadcat. Audio extracted from the video file.

Here is some more of that young couple next door that always go at it. This one was badly recorded. It's probably the best i could do with the editing. Passed 1:00 is when they begin. 7:29 is when they finish. Passed 3:30 is when the woman starts to make louder sounds. 5:34 to 6:03, an airplane flying got into the recording, did my best to make unnoticeable. 7:05 to 7:25 are the sounds from the guy. Original audio of this was 15:00 long. They didn't actually start having sex right away. This was edit and cut short with audacity.

Recorded with lifecam hd3000 you can hear kids playing outside my window, the neighbors' stereo in the apartment next door, their air conditioner, their vacuum cleaner after they shut down the stereo, they're tromping around and hitting the walls, a few distant birds, and one toot of a train about to come into town. I revolve the power generator handle. Our country has recently got a huge punch out of the ocean. We lost many people, many buildings, factories, and power plants, which caused electricity shortage. We have at least one black-out everyday, and i turn the generating handle of a radio ( sony icf-b01, an emergency radio equipped with lights) for having supper in the dark. Water rolling down a creek, over rocks and around a fallen tree, in stereo, with the water sounds moving from one ear to the other ear. We got in the van and drove down a rural road in arkansas, united states. On the side of that road, we found whittington creek. Sound made by a small electric motor cranking and reversing a lever (on an infant's glider/sleeper). This is one repeat of the sound taken from a larger sound i've provided in this archive (which has repeated takes). If you pitch-shift this down about six steps and add a metal/plate/hall reverberation effect, it sounds remarkably like a sound you hear in the carbonite chamber scene in the empire strikes back :). This was recorded with a sony icd-st voice recorder held next to the glider, then noise removed with an audio tool, then normalized. I request but don't demand credit to me (richard alexander hall) for any use of this sound.

I took my snare drum into the wonderfully echoey parking garage of my building to record the reverb. Included are samples recorded from varying distances and positions. Also included are dry versions, recorded in a living room and a super-dry elevator. When used in a production, try mixing in the heavily reverbed snares against the dry ones to fit your taste. Also the reverb snares work well mixed under even unrelated percussions to add a neat ambiance. The same goes for my "stairwell foot stomps" sample set. Recorded 24-bit stereo with a sony pcm-d50. Not a very good recording, and very short - but this is the flapping of a juvenile bald eagle's wings and its cry. I'm only uploading this because i don't think there are any other samples on freesound. I didn't manage to get a good shot at this one, so that's all there is. But i'll try for a better sample as soon as i can. This is a real bald eagle - not a red-tailed hawk, which is what most eagle samples really are.
